Stefan Hartmann is an Associate Professor of German Linguistics at the University of Düsseldorf.
He uses empirical methods to investigate the dynamics of language, focusing on language variation and change as well as on first language acquisition.
Stefan Hartmann is a Visiting Fellow in October 2021, March 2022 as well as in February, July and December 2025 upon invitation from Dr. Nikolas Koch and Prof. Dr. Claudia Maria Riehl (LMU).
